This model represented the transition between the horse-drawn carriage and the car, where a rudimentary engine was added to the buggy, making it one of the first automobiles. Our model shows the interest in progress.
There is one thing that makes this model really interesting, and that is its steering wheel. Early vehicles usually used a lever or rudder, so the Winner can be considered ahead of its time.
The headlights of this vehicle have candles inside them. They helped not only to illuminate, but also to delimit the width of the car to avoid collisions on poorly lit roads. They could be removed from the holder to illuminate the way home or to replace the burnt-out candle with a new one. The handle is on the side, not on the front as on the other cars in this room.
