Silver ghost
The brand’s famous ‘Silver Ghost’ model is one of the icons of the British car industry. It was called a ghost because it was so quiet and silver because of its colour. It is adorned with its renowned mascot, the winged lady known as the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’.
Silver Ghost gives its name to this model and also to an extraordinary series that was produced for almost 20 years because of its great reliability. This series was the origin of Rolls Royce’s aim to produce ‘the best car in the world’, a phrase coined by the prestigious Autocar magazine.
This model features a plaque at the driver’s entrance stating that Rolls-Royce is a manufacturer linked to the British Royal Family.
