Aristocratic tradition
Rolls-Royce acquired Bentley in 1933, but maintained the brand’s usual lines, adding quality and technical value. This model was the work of Freestone & Webb, prestigious coachbuilders whose project was humorously called the ‘Top Hat’ by the English.
The famous artist F. Gordon Crosby was commissioned to design the Bentley badge. The ‘Flying B’ was introduced in the mid-1920s, the first model of which was an ornate brass B with wings held horizontally.
