The transformation
The Talbot-Lago was from the outset a direct crusade with the fastest cars of the day, the Bugatti. Anthony Lago used motor racing as a marketing strategy.
In 1936, he convinced René Dreyfus himself to head the Talbot-Lago racing team. And it didn’t go badly: all three models that participated in that year’s Grand Prix finished in the top 10. Within a short time, the brand had taken over the car racing market and was crowned as one of the fastest and most user-friendly vehicles.
