The adventurer
This model is a modernist work of art created by Gordon Buehrig, the car designer who revolutionised the market with his innovative designs. The most important and distinguished people of the day, such as Amelia Earhart and Tyrone Power, became his clients.
The Cord 810/812 was the last American front-wheel-drive car for almost thirty years until 1966. It was the first car with retractable headlamps in history, and they were opened and closed with a crank inside the car.
