The gentleman
This model caused a sensation at the London Motor Show in 1958. The Italian Touring de Milan styling and Tadek Marek’s engine made it a classy competitor to such stars as Ferrari.
The Aston Martin DB5 has always been associated with the film Goldfinger and Agent 007, but the actual car featured is the DB4. The company wanted to give a commercial push to its new model, which would be on the streets after the film’s release, but by the time the filming dates rolled around, it was not yet ready and they had to turn to the DB4, which had very similar lines.
