A luxury of large dimensions
No car better represents American culture. Everything about it is unconscionable: 5.71 metres long, 2.03 metres wide and 1.37 metres high, huge spoilers, automatic bonnet, mountains of chrome and a gigantic bonnet. With this model, you can imagine the 1963 Cadillac as the protagonist of the well-known series “Miami Vice”.
Its engine, of course, is as massive as the rest of the car. Its 345 hp was fed to the rear wheels via General Motors’ renowned Hydramatic Turbo transmission. Despite its big engine, it was not a fast car, as its 2,300 kg did not allow it to be fast. It was a luxury touring car, and only 1,320 were built.
In July 2023, to coincide with the release of the film “Barbie”, the Cadillac Eldorado was turned into a photo set for dolls dressed in replicas of haute couture dresses.
