The visionary
Concept car inspired by Jules Verne, the father of science fiction. It reflects the atmosphere and imagination of the fantastic journeys of the late 19th century. Its mythical V8 engine is visible in the transparent cockpit. It was conceived and created by the Maga-Collection team, with the work of Rui Sousa and Paulo Rosa playing an important role.
In the early 1930s, Ford France and the Alsatian manufacturer Mathis signed an agreement to create the MatFord brand. This was born in 1934 and produced cars until 1940.
The two brands had clear objectives: Ford could continue to produce its American and English models by reducing the customs duties linked to the import of parts and to please French customers. And Mathis could recover from a difficult financial situation to continue modernising its range. The flagship model of this alliance was the Matford Alsace V8.
