Phone for the driver
A total of 160 units were produced and its top speed was 130 km/h. It had a telephone with which the passengers gave instructions to the driver, a novelty for the time. Vincenzo Lancia began his career at Fiat, but on 27 November 1906 he founded Lancia & C., together with Claudio Fogolin, with a 50/50 shareholding.
The 1920s saw a proliferation of car brands, so manufacturers added exclusive and original add-ons to differentiate themselves from the competition. Lancia, in particular, wanted to position itself as a luxury brand from the very beginning.
The Lancia Dikappa is the sporty version of the Kappa, which offers improved engine layout. This model was produced for only one year, as it was quickly replaced by the Trikappa. This new Lancia was a considerable evolution mechanically, as it replaced the in-line 4-cylinder engine with a V-shaped 8-cylinder.
