Hot Jackets (II)
And perhaps the line is blurred when it comes to a garment that originated around 1600. As with the Hot Rods, which were created on a classic base, designing a jacket starts with a basic structure: sleeves, front and back. In this case, in addition to the play of textures, Jeremy Scott leaves out the lapels and exchanges the collar for a bow.

Jeremy Scott and Hyundai Motor Company joined forces in 2023 for the Re:Style initiative, a project that transforms discarded automotive materials into sustainable couture.
The collection incorporates recycled components from Hyundai’s electric vehicles, such as wheels, seat belts, tail lights and windshield wipers. This collaboration highlights Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, while highlighting Scott’s creativity in fashion.

Jeremy Scott, an American designer born in 1975, joined Moschino in 2013, taking the reins of the brand’s creative direction following the death of Franco Moschino. His arrival marked a bold and energetic turn at the Italian fashion house, infusing it with his signature irreverent, pop aesthetic. Scott, known for his love of mass culture, pop icons and his playful approach to fashion, introduced collections that fused luxury with references to popular culture, art and humour.
Under Jeremy Scott’s direction, Moschino maintained his rebellious spirit, but with a dose of modern nostalgia, taking risks with his designs and challenging established norms. Scott not only reaffirmed Moschino’s position as an edgy and daring brand, but also broadened its fan base, connecting with a new generation that saw fashion as a form of expression without restrictions.
